Because HAI is a 501 (c) (3) your donation is tax deductible. Your donation will go directly to the completion of the facility and will not be used for operations. HAI completed a successful fundraising campaign for the "West Wing" project in 2008. This renovation added the Arts Workshop, the Fiske Family Community Meeting Room and a dressing room/restroom to the 1912 Center. In 2010 HAI continued the renovations of the shell of the 1912 Center. The west and north sides of the facility were completed in the fall, getting 53 new windows, tuckpointing, cornice painting and repairs to the brick and terracotta. This year we have begun site work at the 1912 Center adding a retaining wall and sidewalk along Second Street. If you can to be a part of this project please make a donation today! Volunteer Volunteers are are the heart of any organization and Heart of the Arts, Inc. is no exception. We receive countless hours of volunteer help every month from the seniors at the Senior Center, who look after the building when our Executive Director is out of the office. We are extremely grateful for their dedication, time and fantastic support. In addition we have a number of community volunteers who do everything from weeding the flowerbeds in the summer to organizing the PCEI Plate Project to detail cleaning of tables and chairs in the Great Room. The 1912 Center sparkles because of their help. Volunteers have: Baked cookies for the Red Cross Blood Drives Hung art in the halls of the 1912 Center Deep cleaned the building Shoveled snow Weeded flowerbeds Driven the weekly recycling to the recycling center Picked up trash around the outside of the building Helped with the set up and take down of HAI events Played music for special events Toured people through the building Driven seniors to events in the Senior Center We are certain that there is a job for you at the 1912 Center too. Thank you for your wonderful support of the 1912 Center and Heart of the Arts,Inc. Event Coordinator Heart of the Arts, Inc. (HAI), is currently seeking an Event Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for someone who has availability to work with groups hosting building events in the daytime as well as evenings and weekends. This is a part-time position and pays $8 an hour to start, with posibility for a raise after a six month probationary period and a performace review.
